Intensive Outpatient Program
Intensive Outpatient Treatment (commonly referred to as IOP), is a primary treatment program that may be recommended after an extensive clinical evaluation in lieu of inpatient treatment or outpatient treatment. IOP may be recommended for an individual who does not require a medically supervised detox, or it may be a beneficial option for those who have completed a medical detox and cannot commit to a long-term residential program.
IOP enables men and women to continue their recovery therapies on an intensive, part-time schedule, designed to accommodate family life and employment. Many individuals will opt to complete an inpatient program and transfer directly to IOP, seeking supplemental support as they make the transition from residential treatment back into independent living, or partially independent living (if they choose to move into a halfway house or sober living facility). With the assistance of Intensive Outpatient, individuals are able to establish a foundation for long-term recovery support within their local communities, while receiving the additional one-on-one and group therapeutic care they need.
The Intensive Outpatient Program that we offer provides patients with a combination of group and individual therapy sessions. Group sessions are small an intimate, and will not exceed 10 people at maximum, allowing for highly individualized and personal care.
